Peter Calsson: Captain, Sweedish
Peter has worked within the hospitality industry for over 25 years,
gaining hands on experience in most areas. Having worked in the
mega yacht industry for the last 17 years, Peter utilizes his skills and
enjoys getting involved with all aspects of your stay onboard. His
yachting experience includes 5 years onboard M/Y Eco und 9 years
onboard the busy charter yacht M/Y Braveheart. Prior to yachting
Peter worked with restaurant management and with air treatment
systems in a family company. He has also received extensive military mining with the Royal Swedish Marines. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, golf, food and wine. Besides Swedish and English Peter also speaks Spanish and basic Italian.
James Kerr: Chief Engineer, Australian
James is dual trade qualified in boiler making and Mechanical
Plumbing. He also holds an Australian Merchant Marine Engineering
Certificate and a British Marine Engineering Y2 certificate. He has
enjoyed working in the super yacht industry for the last 10 years,
spending his time cruising around the globe on several different
vessels. Prior to working onboard super yachts, he worked in
Australia Sailing charter vessels and racing Maxi yachts in the
Whitsundays for a period of 8 years. After completion of his
apprentices he was involved In ship repair and construction. His
hobbies include reading and exercising whenever time permits.
Dominic O'Donnell: First Mate, Australian
Dominic grew up on the Sunshine Coast of Australia and has been an
avid water person all his life; his biggest passion being surfing. Dominic started his yachting
career 5 years ago in the Mediterranean. His experience ranges from
45m yachts tike M/Y Sedation to a 60m Feadship.
His cruising experience on charter yachts includes France, Italy,
Spain Majorca , Ibiza, Sicily, Corsica. Sardinia, Greece, Turkey and
Atlantic crossings to the Caribbean.
Kane O'Sullivan: Deckhand, Australian
Kane is from a small fishing/surfing village along the east coast of
Australia. Before joining the yachting industry, he spent his days on
the ocean working in the family business as well as completing his
building contractor's license. He started his yachting career in 2008 cruising the
Mediterranean. He has a passion for travel, though when he is not
working you'll find him either in the surf or aboard a fishing boat.
Being his first year in yachting he is yet to experience the beautiful
waters of the Caribbean though with his extensive knowledge
aboard various boats he is an asset to the team and is a great fishing guide for guests.
Leslie Bore: Chef, New Zealand
Leslie specializes in Seafood and Fusion cooking. He is a trained and qualified chef and his inspiration was influenced by international travel. You will often see him using spices and oriental flavors. Leslie likes to invent new recipes to suit guest's desires so feel free to
come speak to him in the galley with any requests. With 15 years
experience in chartering and yachting, Les is looking forward to giving you a
culinary experience to remember onboard MY Sedation. Leslie works
on the cooking moral of simple and fresh is best. He is a very keen
sportsman and teaches kite surfing and spinning on his time away
from yachts. In his spare time he likes to take part in any sports,
photography and film editing.
Emma Dalton: Chief Stewardess, English
Emma joined the yachting industry in 2002 having completed a
season as chef and host in Chourchevel 1850, French Alps. She has
worked within the hospitality business for over 15 years and has
found the yachting Industry an excellent way to fuel her passion for
travel, food and wine. Having graduated with a Degree in Graphic
Design, Emma enjoys combing her creative talent within her work.
Prior to joining Sedation, Emma worked onboard the busy
charter yacht M/Y Braveheart for 6 years, cruising extensively
throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean and the US East coast.
Emma gains great satisfaction through other people's enjoyment and
always strives to make your stay onboard as relaxing and enjoyable
as possible.
Leah Crooks: 2nd Stewardess, Australian
Prior to Yachting, Leah utilized her Marketing degree In the Finance
sector for over two years. Her passion for the
ocean and travel led her to the charter industry. Over her four year career
she has completed busy Caribbean and Mediterranean seasons on
Motor Yachts Bojangles, Jo, Paraffin and Awesome. Leah also finds
great pleasure In keeping fit, fine wine and dining and looks forward
to making her delicious cocktails for Sedation's guests!
Barbara Gonzalez: 3rd Stewardess, Chilean
Barbara studied cooking in her native country of Chile and to help
her learn English she spent a year in Sydney working at
the Crown Plaza Hotel. Her love
of travel and meeting people brought her to Sedation where she
is part of the team ready to serve and attend to all guest
needs. Barbara loves music and dancing and you will often hear her'
humming a tune. Barbara speaks Spanish and English.
